How are you going to change your routine to improve your life?

I realise that everyone falls into a daily routine, get up, go to work, come home, make the tea and go to bed. I intend to break the routine by: switching off the TV and taking up a hobby; going out for tea once in a while, start work later (flexi time), read more books. Has anyone had a similar breakthrough and how have you changed your routine?
