How can people be against pro choice rights and be anti contraceptive at the same time?
I could understand the need to ensure maximum reproduction when the average life expectancy was only thirty but the average world wide is now nearing 70 with many countries as high as 83 we are more than double the life expectancy today than when most of these archaic policies and ideas were introduced. The connections between early unplanned pregnancy and poverty are too numerous to go over. There is also the converse of the situation in a planned pregnancy the chance of having a successful pregnancy are greatly increased, the mother as well as the child will be healthier and the chance of that child living in poverty are greatly reduced as well their further success in life are greatly increased. So why do so many people and organizations wish to see these policies continued?
