WD 2Tera External Hard Drive issues.?

I have a WD 2Terabyte hd that connected to my friends PC just fine and my Xbox 360 (in that order). Could the the 360 have formatted it? I don't know, but the issue is my Dell Windows XP won't even read the damn thing. Not showing up in My Computer, no notification on my task bar of it's installment. I'm pretty sure my computer makes noise, like it's processing when I plug it in, but no dice as to the location of my HD. This has caused great pain, due to the m amount of gigabytes on my computer that I need to remove. Any and all help will be appreciated.
