What do car dealerships ask for when you are going to buy a new car?

If you are buying your first car they'll love you as they know you need the car. They don't really ask for much. Just your social security number so they can pull up your credit history and based on that decide the interest rate, which more than likely is going to be pretty high if you don't have a really good credit. They'll also ask for your license. And they might ask for a down payment. Now, it would be a really good idea to first do some research online as to the car you want and how much you can afford.
